I am personally offended


Once in a while, we get product samples from mom and pop vendors. Got one a few weeks ago, I won't show it here due to copyright issues, although I doubt anyone would copy it.

What we got was a framed cartoon of a man sitting on the commode smiling up at his wife, who stands behing the toilet beaming her approval. Below this disturbing image, there's a rather long poem implying that men need to sit to pee.

The bad thing is, Teresa pronounced it to be "cute" and actually hung it on the bathroom wall. Well guys, this will not stand. I am going to replace it with the infamous R. Crumb "Wipe your ass" poster at my earliest convenience. Stay tuned for further developments.

Walmart really grinds my gears

Teresa just did her weekly Walmart trip, I know that it's the holidays, there is a ham there that was pushing $30. And Tide detergent, everything else was just low key expensive. I get it, tarrifs, rising cost of labor, insurance, yada yada yada. The total was about $225 - I have bought cars for less than than! Not very good cars, I'm just saying. What really grinds my gears though was the blatant lie at the very bottom of the reciept; Low prices You Can Trust. Every Day. A better tagline might be We know, everything is expensive, it's not just us. Maybe put the oreos back? To which I might reply: I got your creme filling right here, Buddy.

Feng Shui my foot, I tripped over the potted plant...

We have been weeding out our books, I've got this little book that advises how to improve the "Feng Shui" around here. Some of it is pretty far out. It says to put a compost pile in the West part of the garden, but goes on to say. it's a good area for "Sunbathing, convalescing, and entertaining" Am I missing a page? I'm Giving my copy away at bookmooch.
