Farting around with the blog thing...

I was farting around with the Blog settings, added some Googley advertising there, I was inspired because we just got a $100 check (For about two years of ads, but still, better than a poke in the eye!) - I lightened up the background a bit too, hopefully it's easier to read. I know the things I put on the internet look like where Andy Warhol threw up crayons, but it's not like I have a boss here, and only like twelve people a day manage to subject themselves to it.

Maybe someday I will hire an eighth grader to redesign the thing, and then mow the lawn.

Walmart really grinds my gears

Teresa just did her weekly Walmart trip, I know that it's the holidays, there is a ham there that was pushing $30. And Tide detergent, everything else was just low key expensive. I get it, tarrifs, rising cost of labor, insurance, yada yada yada. The total was about $225 - I have bought cars for less than than! Not very good cars, I'm just saying. What really grinds my gears though was the blatant lie at the very bottom of the reciept; Low prices You Can Trust. Every Day. A better tagline might be We know, everything is expensive, it's not just us. Maybe put the oreos back? To which I might reply: I got your creme filling right here, Buddy.

Feng Shui my foot, I tripped over the potted plant...

We have been weeding out our books, I've got this little book that advises how to improve the "Feng Shui" around here. Some of it is pretty far out. It says to put a compost pile in the West part of the garden, but goes on to say. it's a good area for "Sunbathing, convalescing, and entertaining" Am I missing a page?
