Bing??

Microsoft is coming out with a search engine with a different kind of algorithm which is apparently more oriented toward helping make decisions (As opposed to just looking up specific facts)

They call it Bing.com - I'm sure the Crosby family is regretting having passed on that one. Wonder how long Microsoft has been sitting on that sweet and short domain name? It seems all the good domain names are taken or being sat on.

This is how we wound up with TheRestlessMouse.com - It's ridiculously long. By the time people type in the domain name, they are sick of typing and too finger-pooped to order anything.

But I digress. Hopefully BING* will take a large chunk out of the Google machine. They are getting to be a bit big for their britches.

(* I believe that's an acronym; BING= Bill's Internet Navigation Gadget)

Walmart really grinds my gears

Teresa just did her weekly Walmart trip, I know that it's the holidays, there is a ham there that was pushing $30. And Tide detergent, everything else was just low key expensive. I get it, tarrifs, rising cost of labor, insurance, yada yada yada. The total was about $225 - I have bought cars for less than than! Not very good cars, I'm just saying. What really grinds my gears though was the blatant lie at the very bottom of the reciept; Low prices You Can Trust. Every Day. A better tagline might be We know, everything is expensive, it's not just us. Maybe put the oreos back? To which I might reply: I got your creme filling right here, Buddy.

Feng Shui my foot, I tripped over the potted plant...

We have been weeding out our books, I've got this little book that advises how to improve the "Feng Shui" around here. Some of it is pretty far out. It says to put a compost pile in the West part of the garden, but goes on to say. it's a good area for "Sunbathing, convalescing, and entertaining" Am I missing a page? I'm Giving my copy away at bookmooch.
