Mouse balls get a new life when Midge and Barbie take up dodgeball

My sister is selling a computer and wants to know what you would use to *permanently* delete data on the hard drive, without reformatting.

I have never tried to do that. By the time everyone in the house has had a go at a computer, the thing is ready for the scrap heap. The last one actually made smoke when it fried out.

I have several old hard drives in the garage, want to find some tinted resin stuff to pour in the top, put rubber feet on the bottom, those high-tech coasters make excellent Christmas gifts. Perhaps we could make floppy disk cookies too. Nobody steal my idea now.

Walmart really grinds my gears

Teresa just did her weekly Walmart trip, I know that it's the holidays, there is a ham there that was pushing $30. And Tide detergent, everything else was just low key expensive. I get it, tarrifs, rising cost of labor, insurance, yada yada yada. The total was about $225 - I have bought cars for less than than! Not very good cars, I'm just saying. What really grinds my gears though was the blatant lie at the very bottom of the reciept; Low prices You Can Trust. Every Day. A better tagline might be We know, everything is expensive, it's not just us. Maybe put the oreos back? To which I might reply: I got your creme filling right here, Buddy.

Feng Shui my foot, I tripped over the potted plant...

We have been weeding out our books, I've got this little book that advises how to improve the "Feng Shui" around here. Some of it is pretty far out. It says to put a compost pile in the West part of the garden, but goes on to say. it's a good area for "Sunbathing, convalescing, and entertaining" Am I missing a page? I'm Giving my copy away at bookmooch.
