Washington State - The Evergreed State

We are mailing our ballots back today, or soon anyway- Wasn't going to but I want to vote NO on a roads and transit tax- That's supposed to be what all the gas tax was for. Anyway, it's mainly to widen certain roads to benefit developers and bring in EVEN MORE people. If it was just for transit I might have considered it. They will probably just tax & build whatever they want anyway, that's what they usually do.

All you who live in more enlightened states or less populated areas may commence feeling smug now.

Walmart really grinds my gears

Teresa just did her weekly Walmart trip, I know that it's the holidays, there is a ham there that was pushing $30. And Tide detergent, everything else was just low key expensive. I get it, tarrifs, rising cost of labor, insurance, yada yada yada. The total was about $225 - I have bought cars for less than than! Not very good cars, I'm just saying. What really grinds my gears though was the blatant lie at the very bottom of the reciept; Low prices You Can Trust. Every Day. A better tagline might be We know, everything is expensive, it's not just us. Maybe put the oreos back? To which I might reply: I got your creme filling right here, Buddy.

Feng Shui my foot, I tripped over the potted plant...

We have been weeding out our books, I've got this little book that advises how to improve the "Feng Shui" around here. Some of it is pretty far out. It says to put a compost pile in the West part of the garden, but goes on to say. it's a good area for "Sunbathing, convalescing, and entertaining" Am I missing a page? I'm Giving my copy away at bookmooch.
