Aristotle messes with your gray matter #546

Aristotle says;


Humor is the only test of gravity, and gravity of humor; for a subject which will not bear raillery is suspicious, and a jest which will not bear serious examination is false wit.


But, is he serious? I think these philosophers just liked to make up BS to impress the ladies. And that statement bears serious examination.

Teresa just did her weekly Walmart trip, I know that it's the holidays, there is a ham there that was pushing $30. And Tide detergent, everything else was just low key expensive. I get it, tarrifs, rising cost of labor, insurance, yada yada yada. The total was about $225 - I have bought cars for less than than! Not very good cars, I'm just saying. What really grinds my gears though was the blatant lie at the very bottom of the reciept; Low prices You Can Trust. Every Day. A better tagline might be We know, everything is expensive, it's not just us. Maybe put the oreos back? To which I might reply: I got your creme filling right here, Buddy.

Previous research has found sunlight is good for health, both mental and physical, which doesn’t necessarily bode well for the average North American, who spends 80% to 90% of their time indoors.
