Apolitical!

I just unsubscribed from the "lockergnome" mailing list, it's sort of a semi-geek email newsletter that sometimes has interesting stories relating to the world of computers, just the other day I got a great Windows add-on program for half off too.

Unfortunately, lately he has been filling it with links attacking the candidate he does not want to be president. (Doesn't matter which one; I would feel the same either way.) So I unsubscribed, at least for the time being.

I don't understand why people feel the need to shove their political views down each other's throats. While we sell parody bills of a political nature, they represent both sides of the aisle when I can keep them in stock. But I don't profess to a preference. The Restless Mouse is all about lighten up and have fun.

Walmart really grinds my gears

Teresa just did her weekly Walmart trip, I know that it's the holidays, there is a ham there that was pushing $30. And Tide detergent, everything else was just low key expensive. I get it, tarrifs, rising cost of labor, insurance, yada yada yada. The total was about $225 - I have bought cars for less than than! Not very good cars, I'm just saying. What really grinds my gears though was the blatant lie at the very bottom of the reciept; Low prices You Can Trust. Every Day. A better tagline might be We know, everything is expensive, it's not just us. Maybe put the oreos back? To which I might reply: I got your creme filling right here, Buddy.

Feng Shui my foot, I tripped over the potted plant...

We have been weeding out our books, I've got this little book that advises how to improve the "Feng Shui" around here. Some of it is pretty far out. It says to put a compost pile in the West part of the garden, but goes on to say. it's a good area for "Sunbathing, convalescing, and entertaining" Am I missing a page? I'm Giving my copy away at bookmooch.
