My sister is concerned about her savings at Washington Mutual. I set her straight, her money is federally insured to 100 grand, and between me, her, and everyone on my street, except the Pederson's on the corner, couldn't come up with 100 thousand dollars. So it's not really an issue. I wonder how many other people do not know about FICA? I think it says something about that right on the bank door.

I just looked and they have 176 Washington state WAMU openings posted at Monster.com - One of the openings is "Operational Excellence Black Belt" which is kind of cool, but how would they be able to lay that guy off later? You would get your ass kicked.

Walmart really grinds my gears

Teresa just did her weekly Walmart trip, I know that it's the holidays, there is a ham there that was pushing $30. And Tide detergent, everything else was just low key expensive. I get it, tarrifs, rising cost of labor, insurance, yada yada yada. The total was about $225 - I have bought cars for less than than! Not very good cars, I'm just saying. What really grinds my gears though was the blatant lie at the very bottom of the reciept; Low prices You Can Trust. Every Day. A better tagline might be We know, everything is expensive, it's not just us. Maybe put the oreos back? To which I might reply: I got your creme filling right here, Buddy.

Feng Shui my foot, I tripped over the potted plant...

We have been weeding out our books, I've got this little book that advises how to improve the "Feng Shui" around here. Some of it is pretty far out. It says to put a compost pile in the West part of the garden, but goes on to say. it's a good area for "Sunbathing, convalescing, and entertaining" Am I missing a page?
