Happiness is a warm blender

Fine texture of a new Oster Pro Blender As part of the celebration of the renewal of our annual marriage contract, we replaced our blender, which still worked but required a long period of gravel-truck noise to crush the ice. This new one has a stronger motor and all metal gears, and crushes ice much faster, also it's somehow quieter. It bucks the blender tradition of having as many buttons as possible, just one switch on/off/pulse. The pitcher is pebbled glass. It's really neat!

I have to admit that I liked it right away because it has the gray coated steel look of a high school movie projector. Always liked seeing the movie projector set up when I came into a classroom, I knew it would be an easy day, learning about Christopher Columbus, or fire safety, or sex! Maybe all three! Kids today probably watch DVD's, it's just not the same without the clacking of the projector to cover up your side comments, note passing, or snoring.

Do you think they thought of movie projectors when they designed the thing?
