Be careful out there

Here in Washington state, late night driving is going to be much more dangerous from here on out, thanks to voters who love to tell others what to do-

People think I am joking about this, but I think the smoking ban is going to drastically increase drunken driving - Think about it- Used to be many people in a bar would take a puff, BS for a while, drink some beer, BS more (or just sit there feeling sorry for themselves due to sad country music on the jukebox)... and repeat this process as needed....

Now it's going to be pretty much straight drinking, if only because, people need to do something with thier hands. If it wasn't for peeling beer bottle labels and fiddling with cellphones, it would be a bloodbath out there. Why don't people think before they vote?

Walmart really grinds my gears

Teresa just did her weekly Walmart trip, I know that it's the holidays, there is a ham there that was pushing $30. And Tide detergent, everything else was just low key expensive. I get it, tarrifs, rising cost of labor, insurance, yada yada yada. The total was about $225 - I have bought cars for less than than! Not very good cars, I'm just saying. What really grinds my gears though was the blatant lie at the very bottom of the reciept; Low prices You Can Trust. Every Day. A better tagline might be We know, everything is expensive, it's not just us. Maybe put the oreos back? To which I might reply: I got your creme filling right here, Buddy.

Feng Shui my foot, I tripped over the potted plant...

We have been weeding out our books, I've got this little book that advises how to improve the "Feng Shui" around here. Some of it is pretty far out. It says to put a compost pile in the West part of the garden, but goes on to say. it's a good area for "Sunbathing, convalescing, and entertaining" Am I missing a page? I'm Giving my copy away at bookmooch.
