Heartless Mr. Cunningham

I just caught a snippet of an old "Happy Days" episode... Mr. C is being cross-examined by Richie (All of a sudden he's a lawyer?) - at some community hearing about putting an offramp in and destroying "Inspiration point".

Richie asks, "Do you have a family, Mr. Cunningham?" He responds, "I have a wonderful wife, a lovely daughter, and a smart-Alec son". So why wouldn't he mention Richie's older brother, Chuck, only seem in the early episodes? I had assumed that he was away at college, or in the Army?

In either case, one would think Mr. C would mention him. That's why I think Chuckie died, or was disowned for some reason. Maybe he went to work for Ace Hardware, or some other big chain store. That would just about kill Howard.

Walmart really grinds my gears

Teresa just did her weekly Walmart trip, I know that it's the holidays, there is a ham there that was pushing $30. And Tide detergent, everything else was just low key expensive. I get it, tarrifs, rising cost of labor, insurance, yada yada yada. The total was about $225 - I have bought cars for less than than! Not very good cars, I'm just saying. What really grinds my gears though was the blatant lie at the very bottom of the reciept; Low prices You Can Trust. Every Day. A better tagline might be We know, everything is expensive, it's not just us. Maybe put the oreos back? To which I might reply: I got your creme filling right here, Buddy.

Feng Shui my foot, I tripped over the potted plant...

We have been weeding out our books, I've got this little book that advises how to improve the "Feng Shui" around here. Some of it is pretty far out. It says to put a compost pile in the West part of the garden, but goes on to say. it's a good area for "Sunbathing, convalescing, and entertaining" Am I missing a page? I'm Giving my copy away at bookmooch.
