Super Duper Mart - clean up on aisle, uh, one...

Someone on eBaY was peddling this old cardboard toy that billed itself as a "super duper mart". I didn't know the practice of adding "duper" to "super" started that long ago.

It's kind of a ripoff, the thing isn't fit to pretend to be a mall kiosk. It looks like taller kids couldn't use it, which is just as well, they would have been more interested in shooting it up with their Daisy BB rifles. You could make some satisfying holes in that coated cardboard.

Anyway, this aspiring merchant should keep a close eye on the shopper. She could hide the entire produce department under that skirt.

Walmart really grinds my gears

Teresa just did her weekly Walmart trip, I know that it's the holidays, there is a ham there that was pushing $30. And Tide detergent, everything else was just low key expensive. I get it, tarrifs, rising cost of labor, insurance, yada yada yada. The total was about $225 - I have bought cars for less than than! Not very good cars, I'm just saying. What really grinds my gears though was the blatant lie at the very bottom of the reciept; Low prices You Can Trust. Every Day. A better tagline might be We know, everything is expensive, it's not just us. Maybe put the oreos back? To which I might reply: I got your creme filling right here, Buddy.

Feng Shui my foot, I tripped over the potted plant...

We have been weeding out our books, I've got this little book that advises how to improve the "Feng Shui" around here. Some of it is pretty far out. It says to put a compost pile in the West part of the garden, but goes on to say. it's a good area for "Sunbathing, convalescing, and entertaining" Am I missing a page? I'm Giving my copy away at bookmooch.
