Adventures in dogwalking; The short bus incident


In the course of taking Petey D. Dog for a walk, we encounter many strange and wonderful things. Such as this old school bus that someone has converted into a rough trailer of sorts. It appears to be something that someone handy with a welder and and a wrench slapped together to accomplish some long-ago hauling job; I doubt that it sees much use. The top of the bus appears to have been hacked off using a Sawzall or other primitive means.



Apparently someone has a rather dark sense of humor, because we saw this in the bed of the trailer. It's so very wrong.

Walmart really grinds my gears

Teresa just did her weekly Walmart trip, I know that it's the holidays, there is a ham there that was pushing $30. And Tide detergent, everything else was just low key expensive. I get it, tarrifs, rising cost of labor, insurance, yada yada yada. The total was about $225 - I have bought cars for less than than! Not very good cars, I'm just saying. What really grinds my gears though was the blatant lie at the very bottom of the reciept; Low prices You Can Trust. Every Day. A better tagline might be We know, everything is expensive, it's not just us. Maybe put the oreos back? To which I might reply: I got your creme filling right here, Buddy.

Feng Shui my foot, I tripped over the potted plant...

We have been weeding out our books, I've got this little book that advises how to improve the "Feng Shui" around here. Some of it is pretty far out. It says to put a compost pile in the West part of the garden, but goes on to say. it's a good area for "Sunbathing, convalescing, and entertaining" Am I missing a page? I'm Giving my copy away at bookmooch.
