Junque mail

I get soooo tired of spam. Offers to make various body parts larger or smaller. "Make a fortune on ebay" (HA) - Nigerian royalty needing financial partners. poker, porn, (I will forego the obvious pun)

Recent spam to our site feedback address starts out "Hello! Thank you for your site. I have found here much useful information." - Now I know that's a lie! There's not a whit of useful information on our site.

I guess it's a small inconvenience, and at least it doesn't actually interrupt my day like telemarking, or waste paper the way junk mail does. Maybe if everyone forwarded all of it to their elected representatives...

Walmart really grinds my gears

Teresa just did her weekly Walmart trip, I know that it's the holidays, there is a ham there that was pushing $30. And Tide detergent, everything else was just low key expensive. I get it, tarrifs, rising cost of labor, insurance, yada yada yada. The total was about $225 - I have bought cars for less than than! Not very good cars, I'm just saying. What really grinds my gears though was the blatant lie at the very bottom of the reciept; Low prices You Can Trust. Every Day. A better tagline might be We know, everything is expensive, it's not just us. Maybe put the oreos back? To which I might reply: I got your creme filling right here, Buddy.

Feng Shui my foot, I tripped over the potted plant...

We have been weeding out our books, I've got this little book that advises how to improve the "Feng Shui" around here. Some of it is pretty far out. It says to put a compost pile in the West part of the garden, but goes on to say. it's a good area for "Sunbathing, convalescing, and entertaining" Am I missing a page? I'm Giving my copy away at bookmooch.
