Ambient Orb

I just found out that I need an Ambient Orb, an egg that sits on the floor and changes colors to indicate the current direction of the stock market (I kid you not!). The main reason I want one though, is because I am curious as to how the dog would react to it. It looks like a supersized ostrich egg, probably not a good thing if you have kids in the house. You think you got in trouble for breaking that ugly lamp at the bottom of the stairs? Try breaking the Dow-Jones egg. You'll never get to go camping again.

Walmart really grinds my gears

Teresa just did her weekly Walmart trip, I know that it's the holidays, there is a ham there that was pushing $30. And Tide detergent, everything else was just low key expensive. I get it, tarrifs, rising cost of labor, insurance, yada yada yada. The total was about $225 - I have bought cars for less than than! Not very good cars, I'm just saying. What really grinds my gears though was the blatant lie at the very bottom of the reciept; Low prices You Can Trust. Every Day. A better tagline might be We know, everything is expensive, it's not just us. Maybe put the oreos back? To which I might reply: I got your creme filling right here, Buddy.

Feng Shui my foot, I tripped over the potted plant...

We have been weeding out our books, I've got this little book that advises how to improve the "Feng Shui" around here. Some of it is pretty far out. It says to put a compost pile in the West part of the garden, but goes on to say. it's a good area for "Sunbathing, convalescing, and entertaining" Am I missing a page? I'm Giving my copy away at bookmooch.
